Madison's Christening

A couple of weeks ago my friend Madi was christened. She was the same outfit that her dad Yale did over 30 years ago! To me, that was in the olden days!

The wetting of her head. She was not very impressed when they did that!!

The beautiful Christening cake!

Madison got changed into her pretty pink dress for the beautiful Lebanese lunch that followed the christening. She looked so cute but very tired!

and then me! I'm a wannabe Awad girl that was clinging to Denise's leg!

Chesterfield Farm

Just after Easter the Jones's asked us to pay a visit to Chesterfield Farm with them. The weather was absolutely freezing but we still thought it would be a great day out. We would just have to rug up!!

How cool is this photo!

Lucas checking out 'Abbey' the cow. We watched a the farmer milk Abbey!! I was too chicken to have a go but Lucas was did very well!

Alicia just sat in her pram and took it all in.

The donkey like from in the movie 'Shrek'!

A tiny little horse

Sheep, sheep and more sheep

Loads of pigs that all looked very similar to 'Babe'!

I had a go and patting the rabbits

Lucas had a hold of a brand new chicken. They were so cute..... nobody could figure out who was the biggest chicken. Me or the actual chicken!

So many animals! Lucas and I had an absolute ball!

Too cute!

And this even more cute!

Now, I had to ask Mum what this actually was. What a funny looking animal!

It was a long schlep back to the car....

but it was all worth it. Thanks Kimberly and Stuart for asking us to tag along!!

Hawks V's the Roos

Probably not the funniest joke in the world but the people behind us bought this chook right after the Kangaroo scandal. I got great enjoyment from playing with it!

Go Hawks!

I wasn't bored....just tired!

Easter!

Some snap shots of Easter Sunday. All the family got together at our house for breakfast and of course, the easter egg hunt!

Wow, I found an egg!
Hopefully it will be the first of many chocolate eggs that I find!

Check them all out!

Hamish did just as well as I did.... I think all of our teeth will fall out!

Isabella and Ankur enjoying a bounce on the trampoline...

Bella enjoying the sauce more than the chocolate!!

Happy Birthday Silv!

This year as Silv had not long given birth to Molly, she decided to keep her birthday low key with just a few friends over for some cake and coffee.... and some port!

The beautiful birthday girl, Silv.

Sivia and Molly blowing out the candles....something tells me that there is not the right amount of candles on that cake!

The new, happy family!

Not a night goes by without a cuddle from my amazing godmother. (Well, only when she is around!)

Madison otherwise known as Buddy (an no, there is no confusion between Madi and Lance Franklin!)

Don't mind Susan's boof head but..... how cute!!!

Me in my element!

Keeping up with the Jones'

Little Miss Alicia Jones who has just learnt to crawl!

Mark and Lucas having a little story time. A break through for Lucas as normally he only lets his Mum or Dad read to him......

Farewell Scotty!

This is Matt and Scott and they are Mum's sidekicks at work. Scott has just relocated to Queensland so these are a couple of shots of his farewell that was at the Belgian Beer Garden just before Easter.

Hong Kong!

Ok, so it has been a while since my Mum has updated the blog.....what is new, most of you will say! These are a few snap shots of the time that my Mum spent in Hong Kong in the middle of March.
It all started with a phone call one Thursday from my Mum's work. They asked her to pack her bags and be on a plane by the Sunday morning for a week's training in Hong Kong! How lucky was she! With all hands on deck.... my amazing dad, daycare and a little help from Nana Margaret I was well taken care of!
Mum travelled with her (then to be) boss and another colleague from Sydney named Lena. She went there to be trained in the software that Leica use. The trainers came all the way from the UK!

(as it so happened, my Mum's camera died while she was away so these are a few shots taken from Lena's camera)

This is a shot of Lena (and mum in the background) out the front of their hotel. It was called the City Garden Hotel...

This shot was taken of the view from Mum's room. My Mum told me that she was in awe at the use of space that these people use. She has never seen so many skyscrapers in all her life and what fascinated her even more is that they are all built amongst loads of mountains. Apparently it is an amazing view from the airplane! Of course that is providing that the smog is not too bad when flying in....

Ovid sinking into the beers on the first night they were there. My mum told me that she had to teach him a few things about drinking! I think I recall her telling me that he was weak as piss!

Lena and Mum could not get over the size of the beers!

Can you believe that this is a tram? It is a double decker!!

The streets of Hong Kong!

More skyscrapers.... there were thousands!

Not the best photo but shows the true meaning of a Chinese laundry!
See.... my mum wasn't fibbing when she said the skyscrapers were built amongst a bunch of mountains!
Mum's training group

Lena and Mum (so not the best photo of Mum but she caught some weird arse disease and had a festy eye!)
Half way through the week Leica Hong Kong shouted us all out for dinner. This is the group that came from all around Asia.... and Australia of course!
This was our dinner.... can you believe that they got to choose whatever seafood they wanted! They then got taken up some dark alley to a restaurant for all of this tasty food to be cooked. Mum said it was brilliant!
Lena, Bee (the trainer that came all the way from Cambridge) and Mum

Mum's colleagues from Japan and Ashok (who also came from the UK)

On the final night Mum and Lena did a touch of sight seeing. They decided to first head to the Peak via the Peak Tram. What an experience!

Peak Tram Station

The view from the top. Truly breathtaking and Mum said that is was one of the best views that she has ever seen!

Mum with Hong Kong in the background!

Lena and Mum at the Peak

To finish the trip Mum and Lena just had to go on the double decker bus that didn't have a roof! This is the view....

A picture of the two of them just before they missed the shops for the second time in a week!!

Mum said that she had a fabulous time and if it wasn't for the pollution would love to take me there some day too! Thanks Leica!
