Today was a big day for me, but bigger for my mum. I went into hospital to have my hip fixed. Six weeks ago my health nurse discovered that one of my legs was longer than the other. Normally my condition is diagnosed at a much earlier stage but due to my age I needed to have surgery rather than a brace. I was such a brave girl..... Hardly any tears!
Dad and I in the waiting area of the children's ward. It was so colourful with the most amazing toys. There was even a whole wall full of bouncey balls!
After surgery.... I was so tired!
The next morning i was up and out of bed, full of smiles. The nurses thought i was a real treasure. Most babies cry heaps after this procedure but i have taken it all in my stride. I will be wearing this cast for the next six weeks then i need to have it removed and another, hopefully slighty smaller cast, will be put on for another six weeks.
The only thing is that sometimes i get a bit bored because i can't move around as much as i used to. This means that mum and dad need to entertain me more and take me for more walks. This is me in the only pram that i fit in!
